How do I manage my email mailing list using LISTERV?


A mailing list is a communication tool used by its members to participate in on-line discussions by posting comments, suggestions, and other information to a large number of people at the same time.

At The University of Montana you may participate in on-line discussions that are locally administered by Information Technology using LISTSERV, a product developed by L-Soft, a creator of email list management and other email communication tools. LISTSERV may be accessed and administered either via email or an online web interface.

Getting started

If you are interested in establishing a mailing list at The University of Montana, please complete the LISTSERV online application by clicking on the “LISTSERV Application” link below. You will receive a reply from IT personnel within two working days of receipt of the application. Please review the LISTSERV policies before completing the application.
