Description
Offices frequently have the need to gather information in the form of reports of various information contained in the Banner system. EIS has two primary methods for delivering this data to the user community, batch reports and the InfoGriz (umt.edu/infogriz) system. A report that needs to be scheduled and delivered via paper or email should be requested as a batch report. Reports that need to be run on an “as needed” basis can frequently be set up in InfoGriz to be run at the user’s discretion. Occasionally, if the reporting criteria is exceptionally complicated, it may be necessary to request a report run in the batch environment rather than on demand. More information on our web at Info Griz Support.
How to Request
Requests for reporting services should be coordinated through the data steward responsible for the information needed (ex: Registrar’s Office for student data) and via a request to the ET Jira Software system.
Charge
No charge.
Eligibility
All UM Students, Faculty, Staff, and Administrators are eligible for this service.
Availability
Services in this area are available if deemed appropriate by the data steward and as can be fit into the EIS development schedule. Factors including dependencies, level of complexity, and availability of staff will influence timelines. Once completed, batch reports are normally automated to run at scheduled intervals, but can be submitted through operations on an “as needed” basis. InfoGriz reports are grouped into appropriate user communities and access to the reports is coordinated through the data steward. More information on our web at Info Griz Support.
