Refunds FAQ

How do I request a refund?

The only time you would have to request a refund is during the first 3 weeks of Fall and Spring semester and during summer session.  All other times, refunds go out automatically on Thursdays. 

If you have a credit balance on your account during the times that the refunds are not automatic, you would need to request it by logging into Cyberbear.  Once logged in to Cyberbear, click on Registration, choose the option for Health Service, Parking & Refunds, select term, at drop down menu select request refund.  This request expires each week on Thursday.  If the credit does not show up on your account prior to checks being processed, you will not get a refund.  If your account is credited the following week, you would need to make the request again in order for the check to process.

Can I pick up my refund check?

No.  Refund checks are mailed to the students mailing address.

When are refunds mailed? 

Refund checks are mailed on Thursdays.  At the beginning of each term, refunds will be mailed out the weekday prior to the beginning of the term and the day the term begins.

For example, if the semester begins on a Monday, refunds will be mailed out the previous Friday, Monday (the first class day), and again on Thursday.

During the first 3 weeks of the semester and during summer session the student needs to request the refund on Cyberbear.
