Withdrawals

How do I withdraw from all my classes?

CyberBear will not allow you to drop your only/last course.  If you have not finalized your registration bill, email registration@umontana.edu from your student account and include your 790# to cancel your class registration.  

If you or someone else has paid/finalized your registration bill, you will be required to fill out a withdrawal form and visit with a withdrawal coordinator.  More information can be found on the withdrawal webpage.

Do I get a refund if I withdraw?

This is contingent on when in the semester you choose to withdraw and if you have financial aid or outstanding debt.  See the Student Accounts Office or withdrawal coordinator for the most current information.

How do I withdraw from a past semester?

In exceptional cases, a student may appeal for a retroactive withdrawal for a previous semester in attendance.  All such appeals are reviewed by a committee. Forms and instructions are located on the Registrar's web page. Hard copy forms are available for pick up in the Registrar’s Office in Lommasson 201.
