Personal routers and hubs are not allowed at the University of Montana. Using these devices, if detected, can result in a ban from network access at the University. These devices create vulnerabilities in our network, and generate a lot of "noise" that interferes with the wireless solution (eduroam) implemented for all students, staff, and faculty. If you are currently using one of these devices, please shut if off out of courtesy for your neighbors. The best, and most reliable, internet connection in your residence hall room is a wired connection through an ethernet cable. If you suspect a problem with a wireless access point in your area, please report a problem to have it address by your IT support team.
