Unofficial Transcript Banner Printer Request

Step One

You will need to have approval from the Registrar, Maria Mangold at maria.mangold@mso.umt.edu, for any new transcript printer.  

This requires a short site visit to make sure the printer is in a secure location.

Please schedule a time with Maria to perform this site visit before putting in any requests with IT.

Step Two

You will need a printer that supports PCL5e or PCL6. The printer will need to be directly attached to the network; no windows shared printers or print queues on other systems.

Step Three

Must have an active network port for this printer.

In order to request a port activation here you will need to be an authorized user which you can request here.

Otherwise, your IT support can submit this request for you. On the form we will ask if you have a port activated, if you do not, be ready to provide an index number and the Jack ID if you know it. If you do not know the Jack ID we will schedule an appointment to send over a TEC to assess your ports.

Step Four

You will need to request a Static IP address for this printer here.

If you are not comfortable putting in this requests, your IT support can submit this request for you. On the form we will ask if you have already requested a Static IP address, if you have, you will be asked to provide it.

Step Five

Your IT support will work with the Registrar's Office to get the Banner print queue created for this printer.

How do I print Unofficial Transcripts from Banner?

1. To print transcripts using Banner 9, go to SHARQTC Banner form

2. Enter your Printer Destination where the transcript will print on SOADEST.  Click on the ‘X’

3.Hit F6 to start a new request.

   The Request Date defaults to today’s date.

    Required fields for Transcript Request tab​​​​​​​

  • Level = AL

  • Transcript Type = WEB

  • Number of Copies = 1

4. The student's transcript will print.
