How to Download and Install ArcPro on Personal Devices

Download ArcPro

Download ArcPro and Microsoft .NET Desktop Runtime (if not already installed) using the following link: https://umt.box.com/s/c8jwkdk77otomn9bhpatiyvwahr4mpdk

Required Software:  Microsoft .NET Desktop Runtime 6.0.5 or a later patch release (6.0.6 and so on), using a Windows x64 installer, is required. The presence of Microsoft .NET Desktop Runtime 7 or later is inconsequential. If you do not already have it installed, before installing ArcGIS Pro, please install it by running the .exe in the Box folder.

Install ArcPro

Before you Install:

Check that you computer meets the minimum system requirements.  ArcPro can only be installed on Windows computers.

Install Instructions:

  1. Install Microsoft .NET Desktop Runtime 6.0.xx  if it is not already installed.
  2. Click on the ArcPro installer that you downloaded.
  3. Select the location you would like to extract the setup files to (usually you can just leave the default), and click Next.
  4. Ensure Launch the setup program is check and click Close


     
  5. On the Welcome to the ArcGIS Pro Setup program page click Next
  6. Check the box next to I accept the master agreement and click Next


     
  7. Select Anyone who uses this computer (all users) and hit Next
  8. Click Next


     
  9. Click Install
  10. Click Finish



License ArcPro

 

  1. Launch ArcPro
  2. At the sign in page, click Your Organization’s URL


     
  3. In the empty field, enter umontana



     
  4. Click Continue, then click the UM NetID button
  5. Sign in with your NetID and password at the UM NetID SSO Page




    Note:  This software is to be used for academic or administrative purposes only. Use for consulting or any other form of commercial or profit-generating activities is prohibited. Can be used on a personally owned device in any geographic location where it is not prohibited by the then current applicable US government export laws and regulations (currently the following: Iran, Sudan, North Korea.
