Duo Universal Prompt
In March 2024, the University of Montana is transitioning to the Duo Universal Prompt for multi-factor authentication. These changes feature a new design and streamlined authentication process.
Why Change?
- Starting March 30, 2024, Duo will be phasing out support for the traditional Duo prompt.
What's new?
- Duo automatically prioritizes the most secure authentication method by default.
- Duo authentication seamlessly employs the last authentication method used on the same browser and device.
- The "Remember me" checkbox has been upgraded to a "Yes, this is my device" button.
- The URL for the authentication page has transitioned from login.umt.edu to duosecurity.com.
