The University of Montana provides VPN services to those with a need to access resources only available on the UM network. You must be granted permission to use remote VPN software. You must also abide by the University's acceptable use policies and agree to use your account according to these policies.

Please click the “Request Service” button at the top right hand side of the screen.
Eligibility
In general, VPN service is available to faculty and staff only. However, there are circumstances that dictate access for students.
In any case, be sure to detail your need for the VPN on the form.
Availability
Form can be submitted at any time. There is an approval process, however. That approval process can take 24 to 48 hours on business days.
