How do I download, install, and activate Texthelp's Read&Write for my PC or Macintosh?

Steps for Logging into Read&Write Version 12 for Win and Version 7 for Mac

Texthelp's Download Website

Download the 30-day trial for your operating system. Follow the login information below to activate Read and Write after the program installs. These instructions work for both Windows and Mac.

Students

After program installation, run Read&Write from the desktop icon (it should start automatically)

On the log in option pop-up screen that appears – Select Sign in with Microsoft

Sign in with your student netid (ab123456@umconnect.umt.edu

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

After clicking Next, you will be directed to log into Cyberbear. 

Log into Cyberbear with your Cyberbear credentials (netid ab123456, and password)

Read&Write will authorize and ask you to stay signed in – click Yes

Faculty/Staff

Authorizing Read&Write for Faculty/Staff follows the same steps except for entering your net id (as123456@umconnect.umt.edu). Faculty/Staff must use FirstName.LastName@umt.edu

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Once this information has been entered, select Next.Cyberbear password will be required to complete the log in procedure.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

After this, follow step 5 from above.

Labs

Install Read&Write as any other program. Read&Write, by default, runs at start up and will be available when students log into the computer. Students who desire to use the program will have to follow the steps above for activating Read&Write.
