Description
Request to borrow a Griz Card reader for assessment purposes, validate status, or to accept UMoney on a short-term basis.
Examples of activity reader usage include Career Services taking attendance at Career Fairs and UC Student Involvement & Leadership collecting information on attendees at various events.
Requirements
You will need to know how many readers you need and the dates of your event.

Charge
There is no charge to check out a reader.
Once a reader is picked up, it is your responsibility. If issued for a multi-day or overnight event, it is expected the reader(s) will be stored in a secure area. If it is returned late, you may be subject to fees. If the reader is lost or damaged, the requester of the service will be held financially responsible until your organization replaces the reader at the current rate. As of February 2018, the cost is $1,698 for Blackboard devices.

Availability
Monday-Friday, 8:30 a.m.- 4:30 p.m. Readers are reserved on a first come, first serve basis. The Griz Card Center has a limited number of readers and will let you know immediately if we cannot fulfill your reader check out request.
