About Campus Software Licensing

Central IT provides software licensing and acquisition information for many software applications to students, faculty and staff. By managing software licensing and acquisition, and negotiating license agreements, IT enables campus departments and individuals to benefit from reduced costs to help software dollars go further.

Central IT works with various unit-based IT administrators to facilitate the distribution of Microsoft, Apple, and AV software to the computers within these departments. Contact your department's IT administrator to find out what your unit is doing. If you do not have a departmental IT administrator, contact UM IT Help in Social Science 120, 243-HELP (x4357), or via e-mail: ithelpdesk@umontana.edu.

Other software is also available either through the UM Bookstore, Information Technology, or through individual departmental purchases.
