Classrooms and public venues that are hard-wired
A number of University of Montana classrooms and other public venues are pre-wired for transmission to Assistive Listening Devices (ALDs) for students with hearing impairments.
The Office of Disability Equity issues ALDs to students with hearing impairments for better auditory access to class lectures and other university programs.
The student receives a wireless hearing amplifier and a microphone. The instructor may wear this microphone, or use the podium microphone to transmit their voice to the student.
